Recent research completed by The London Borough of Newham’s Chief Executive Department showed that with the exception of the Community Safety Unit (The Police) NAADV received more referrals than any other agency providing services to people affected by domestic violence in Newham.
Our offices are based in Beckton, in the south of the borough, which the report also showed to be a hot spot area for reports of domestic violence.

We believe that no single action alone is likely to be totally effective in tackling domestic violence therefore although we provide various different services we also recognise that in order to provide a comprehensive response to domestic violence, we need to work together with other agencies, both statutory and voluntary to achieve this. We work in partnership with a number of key agencies within Newham and the surrounding boroughs, including The Primary Care Trust, The Metropolitan Police Community Safety Unit, Housing, Education and Social Services. We are active members of Newham’s and Barking and Dagenham’s Domestic Violence Forums and are members of many local working groups that attempt to influence policy on domestic violence issues.
